Toronto Baskets · Birthday Gift Guide
What do Toronto Baskets customers actually send for a birthday? This page sorts the cakes, sweets and gift baskets they ordered most for birthdays between January 2023 and September 2026 into three price bands, then shows how late you can order for each kind of address.
Enter the recipient's postal code to see the earliest delivery date and which order time still applies today.
Dates when the store is closed are skipped: October 12, December 25 and 26, and January 1.
How far ahead to order depends on the address. Find the place below, then confirm the date with the checker.

These gifts are all for sale today, and each one was chosen for a birthday in more than one of the years 2023–2026. The headings give each price band's share of birthday orders. The 6-Inch Birthday Cake led by a wide margin, so it is the only card with a rank; the rest run from lowest price up. Prices shown are today's.

Every Toronto Baskets birthday order placed between January 2023 and September 2026. Comparisons with all orders use every order the store took in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
31% of birthday orders included a cake or baked treat, more than four times the 7% seen across all orders. There are three sizes: the 6-inch cake at $39.99, the 9-inch cake at $69.99 when more guests are coming, and a box of four vanilla cupcakes at $19.99.
Still wine made up 32% of all orders but only 4% of birthday orders, while sparkling wine held at 13%. The sparkling wine and cookie gift sets a giant chocolate chip cookie, a birthday bear and a live-edge board beside the bottle.
The birthday bear and chocolate set, the truffle and salami basket and the Happy Birthday market tray contain no alcohol, so nobody has to show ID to accept them.
Baked goods are perishable, and the cake pages recommend an express service. If same-day delivery does not reach the address, choose Next-Day or Overnight shipping at checkout.
24% of birthday orders came in on a weekend. Couriers do not deliver on Saturday or Sunday, so for an address that same-day delivery does not cover, aim for the Friday before.
95% of birthday orders were a single gift. If you want to add something, the four-cupcake box at $19.99 is the least expensive pick on this page.
Companies placed 8% of birthday orders between January 2023 and September 2026, compared with 30% of all orders in 2023, 2024 and 2025, so birthday gifts here are mostly personal. For a staff birthday, the corporate gifting page explains ordering by form, scheduled drop-offs and baskets built to a budget. Same-day delivery, only in Toronto and parts of the Greater Toronto Area, reaches offices no later than 5 p.m.
The lists come from the store's own city pages; courier times are counted in business days.
In Milton, Caledon, East Caledon and King, same-day delivery covers the built-up parts and rural postal codes go by courier.
Yes, where same-day delivery covers the address: place the order by 11 a.m. local time and a home receives it no later than 9 p.m. Elsewhere, choose Next-Day or Overnight and allow the business days shown for that place.
Yes. The cakes, the cupcakes and the dessert box, plus the bear and chocolate set, the truffle and salami basket and the market tray. Gifts with wine, sparkling wine or whisky are handed only to someone 19 or older who shows photo ID.
Nothing on orders of $100 or more inside Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. For smaller orders and courier addresses, the fee appears at checkout.
Use the order tracking page: it asks for the buyer's email address and the postal code.
The contact page lists email, phone and chat; the team is available from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time.
