Buying from Ireland, delivering in Ontario
A Ireland card and a Ontario delivery address are a normal combination here. The one thing to get right is which details go where:
- Your side. Card name, street address, town, county and Eircode and Eircode go in the billing fields, nowhere else.
- Their side. Name, street, city, ON, a Canadian postal code such as M5V 3L9, and the recipient's own phone number in the delivery fields — the driver or courier calls the recipient, never the buyer.
- The message. The greeting card names you as the sender; the paperwork in the parcel shows no prices.
Currency and payment from Ireland

How soon can it get there?
Type the recipient's Canadian postal code (not your own). The reply is the checkout's own delivery system: whether the address is same-day or courier, and how many days.
Order by 11:00 a.m. Eastern for same-day delivery in Toronto and the GTA (free delivery from $100 up, else the fee shows at checkout); by 2 p.m. Eastern for courier to the rest of Ontario, one to three business days, rate shown at checkout.

The clock that matters is the recipient's — Eastern Time. Toronto and the GTA: same-day when the order lands by 11:00 a.m. Eastern, every day of the week, with businesses served no later than 5 p.m. and homes no later than 9 p.m. Rest of Ontario: courier, shipped the same day for orders by 2 p.m. Eastern (weekdays), one to three business days in transit. Letters, names and the card
Although English and Irish are what people speak in Ireland, the store operates in English from checkout to delivery label.
- Message. Type it in whatever language you like, provided it's in Latin letters — what you type is what prints.
- The payer's details. Latin letters, exactly as the card issuer has them.
- Where it's going. The recipient's name and Canadian address in Latin letters; the delivery label is English and a name in another script won't be recognised at the door.
- Telephones. Give the recipient's Canadian number with its area code in the delivery fields; yours can include the Ireland dialling code.

Alcohol
A bottle — wine, champagne, beer, spirits — can be delivered to any Ontario address where the recipient is at least 19, Ontario's legal drinking age. It is handed only to someone 19+ with photo ID, is never left unattended, and on a courier route needs an adult signature; if no adult is in, it's tried again or held for pickup. Kosher wines and alcohol-free gourmet options are available too.
Before you order from Ireland
Do you accept Irish cards?
Yes: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club and JCB, billed to your Irish address. The amount is in Canadian dollars, converted by your card issuer.
Could the recipient get a bill for customs or delivery?
No — there's no border crossing, so no customs, duty or import fee. Delivery is free on orders of $100 or more in the same-day zone, and courier shipping is charged to you at checkout.
Same-day from abroad — really?
Yes, when the address is in Toronto or the GTA and the order arrives by 11:00 a.m. Eastern that day (see the Ireland equivalent in the table). The rest of Ontario is courier: order by 2 p.m. Eastern, delivered in one to three business days.
What happens if the door isn't answered?
The driver finds a safe place or a neighbour and messages the recipient; couriers may also leave it safely. A gift containing alcohol is re-attempted or held instead.
