Toronto Baskets · from the UAE
Send gift baskets to Toronto from the United Arab Emirates
Ordering from the UAE works like ordering from next door. We assemble the gift to order and deliver it in Ontario — same-day in Toronto and the GTA, courier beyond — billed in Canadian dollars, with nothing owed by the recipient and no border fees.
Filling in the checkout from the UAE
Anyone in the UAE can buy for a Ontario address. The checkout separates the buyer's details from the recipient's; keep them apart and it goes through cleanly:
- Your side. Card name, street address, area and emirate — most addresses have no postal code and P.O. Box or area (no postal code) go in the billing fields, nowhere else.
- Their side. Name, street, city, ON, a Canadian postal code such as M5V 3L9, and the recipient's own phone number in the delivery fields — the driver or courier calls the recipient, never the buyer.
- The message. The greeting card names you as the sender; the paperwork in the parcel shows no prices.
What a the UAE card is charged
PricingIn CAD. The menu's alternatives are USD, GBP, EUR, AUD and JPY; UAE dirhams is missing, so the CAD amount is your reference.
On your statementThe transaction is in Canadian dollars: gift, Canadian tax and the delivery fee for the recipient's address, shown up front. Conversion to UAE dirhams — and any charge for it — is your bank's, at a rate the store neither sets nor sees.
Payment methodsThe store shows Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club and JCB (2026-09-17). the UAE-issued cards are fine; use the address the card is registered to.
Not chargedNo customs, duty or import fee — the gift never crosses a border. The recipient pays nothing.
Look up the Ontario address
Type the recipient's Canadian postal code (not your own). The reply is the checkout's own delivery system: whether the address is same-day or courier, and how many days.
Order by 11:00 a.m. Eastern for same-day delivery in Toronto and the GTA (free delivery from $100 up, else the fee shows at checkout); by 2 p.m. Eastern for courier to the rest of Ontario, one to three business days, rate shown at checkout.
Cut-off times converted for the UAE
Everything is timed on Eastern Time, which is what the recipient in Ontario lives on. For same-day hand delivery in Toronto and the GTA the order must be in by 11:00 a.m. Eastern on the day (any day of the week; workplaces get it no later than 5 p.m., homes no later than 9 p.m.). Courier orders for the rest of Ontario go out the same day if placed by 2 p.m. Eastern on a weekday and take one to three business days. Here is what those cut-offs are for September 21, 2026:
| Time zone | Same-day cut-off (11:00 a.m. ET) | Courier cut-off (2:00 p.m. ET) |
|---|---|---|
| United Arab Emirates (Asia/Dubai, +04) | 7:00 p.m. | 10:00 p.m. |
Today on this device: — for same-day, — for courier (your device's time zone: —).
Because both sides observe daylight saving on different dates, the gap can change by an hour; the live line is recalculated each visit and the table is fixed to its date. Pick the recipient's Eastern delivery date at checkout — if it's after 11 a.m. in Toronto, tomorrow is the first same-day option. We don't deliver Oct 12, Dec 25, Dec 26, Jan 1.
Letters, names and the card
Arabic and English are spoken in the UAE; the store and checkout are in English.
- On the card: any language in Latin letters, printed as you wrote it. A message in Arabic has not been tested through this store's card-printing path, so write it in Latin letters (a transliteration is fine).
- On the billing form: your name and address as your bank spells them, Latin letters.
- On the delivery label: the recipient's name and Canadian address in Latin letters — the courier reads English, and other scripts can't be checked at the door.
- On the phone: the recipient's Canadian number, area code first, in the delivery fields; your number may carry the UAE's country code.

Before you order from The UAE
Will a the UAE bank card work?
It will. Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club and JCB are all taken with a Emirati billing address; you're charged in CAD and your bank does the conversion.
Could the recipient get a bill for customs or delivery?
No — there's no border crossing, so no customs, duty or import fee. Delivery is free on orders of $100 or more in the same-day zone, and courier shipping is charged to you at checkout.
What time is the cut-off, in my time?
The table above shows it: 11:00 a.m. Eastern for same-day in Toronto and the GTA, 2 p.m. Eastern for courier to the rest of Ontario (one to three business days), each converted for the UAE.
Nobody in — what then?
Our drivers leave it somewhere safe or with a neighbour and tell the recipient; a courier can use a safe place too. Alcohol is different: the delivery is re-attempted or held.
Across the province
Our drivers cover Toronto and the GTA the same day (Whitchurch-Stouffville, East York, York, Woodbridge, Maple and more); couriers take the rest of Ontario. Looking at the orders so far, 58% of gifts from the UAE went to Toronto, 13% of gifts from the UAE went to Mississauga. The median order: about $130 CAD. Busiest month: June. Pages for the destinations we serve most: Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Burlington, Milton, North York, Oakville, Oshawa, Richmond Hill, Scarborough.
