Sending a gift basket to Toronto from the United States
For anyone in the U.S. with someone to spoil in Ontario: the basket is put together to order and delivered by our own drivers (same-day, Toronto and the GTA) or by courier across Ontario. Canadian dollars at checkout; no customs, no import fees, nothing for the recipient to pay.
Placing the order from the U.S.
A the U.S. card and a Ontario delivery address are a normal combination here. The one thing to get right is which details go where:
- Payer: name as on the card, street address, city, state and ZIP code, ZIP code — in billing.
- Receiver: name, Canadian street address, city, ON, a postal code like M5V 3L9, and their own phone number — in delivery; the driver or courier rings the receiver.
- Sender line: your name goes on the greeting card, and the packing slip carries no prices.
The charge, in plain terms
PricingIn CAD. The store's menu can restate prices in USD at an indicative rate.
BillingYou're billed in CAD, and checkout shows the whole figure (gift, Canadian sales tax, delivery for that address) before you confirm. The U.S. dollars equivalent depends on your card provider's rate and fees, not the store's.
Accepted cardsVisa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club and JCB, as displayed on the store on 2026-09-17. A card issued in the U.S. works, provided the billing address matches the card.
No border costsBecause the basket is assembled and delivered within Canada there is no duty, customs or import charge, and the recipient owes nothing.
Check the recipient's postal code
Type the recipient's Canadian postal code (not your own). The reply is the checkout's own delivery system: whether the address is same-day or courier, and how many days.
Toronto and GTA addresses are same-day when the order is in by 11:00 a.m. Eastern — free delivery on orders of $100 or more, otherwise a charge quoted at checkout. Other Ontario addresses go by courier in one to three business days; order by 2 p.m. Eastern and checkout quotes the shipping.
Order deadlines, where you are
The clock that matters is the recipient's — Eastern Time. Toronto and the GTA: same-day when the order lands by 11:00 a.m. Eastern, every day of the week, with businesses served no later than 5 p.m. and homes no later than 9 p.m. Rest of Ontario: courier, shipped the same day for orders by 2 p.m. Eastern (weekdays), one to three business days in transit. Translated into your time for September 21, 2026 (the U.S. has more than one zone — use the right row):

Because both sides observe daylight saving on different dates, the gap can change by an hour; the live line is recalculated each visit and the table is fixed to its date. The store's Order Tracking page wants the email address you ordered with and the postal code on the order. An order placed minutes ago can take a little while to show; if it stays missing, give support the order number from your confirmation.

The rules on alcohol
A bottle — wine, champagne, beer, spirits — can be delivered to any Ontario address where the recipient is at least 19, Ontario's legal drinking age. It is handed only to someone 19+ with photo ID, is never left unattended, and on a courier route needs an adult signature; if no adult is in, it's tried again or held for pickup. Kosher wines and alcohol-free gourmet options are available too.

Businesses account for about 29% of what the U.S. sends. For a client list or a team, the corporate order form takes the names, pairs each with a message and a date — any mix of same-day and courier addresses — and produces one invoice in CAD.

Is a card from the U.S. a problem?
Not at all. Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club and JCB go through with a American billing address; the transaction is in CAD and your bank handles the exchange.
Will the recipient be asked to pay customs or delivery?
Nothing — no customs, no duty, no import fee, because the gift never leaves Canada. Delivery is free on orders of $100 or more in the same-day zone, and any courier charge is shown to you, the buyer, at checkout.
Same-day from abroad — really?
Yes, when the address is in Toronto or the GTA and the order arrives by 11:00 a.m. Eastern that day (see the the U.S. equivalent in the table). The rest of Ontario is courier: order by 2 p.m. Eastern, delivered in one to three business days.
The checkout asks for a date — which calendar?
The recipient's, i.e. Eastern time. Pick the day the gift should reach them; after 11 a.m. in Toronto the earliest same-day date becomes the following day.
Is alcohol allowed in the gift?
Yes, when the recipient is 19 or older. Photo ID is checked at the door and alcohol is never left unattended.

The same-day zone is Toronto and the GTA: Maple, Bolton, Concord, King, Caledon and more. Beyond it, the courier covers the rest of Ontario.
