Delivery timing for a Nova Scotia buyer
Same-day delivery in Toronto and the GTA closes at 11:00 a.m. Eastern; the courier to everywhere else in Ontario closes at 2:00 p.m. Eastern and arrives in one to three business days. The table puts both into Nova Scotia time (worked out for September 21, 2026):
| Time zone | Same-day cut-off (11:00 a.m. Eastern) | Courier cut-off (2:00 p.m. Eastern) |
|---|---|---|
| Atlantic (ADT) | 12:00 p.m. | 3:00 p.m. |
Today on this device: — for same-day, — for courier (your device's time zone: —).
A same-day gift arrives at a business no later than 5 p.m. and at a house no later than 9 p.m. Seven days a week for same-day; business days for the courier. We do not deliver on Thanksgiving, Mon Oct 12; Christmas Day; Boxing Day; New Year's Day.
Same-day or courier? Check the postal code
One field, the recipient's postal code: it returns whether that Ontario address is on our same-day runs or on the courier, and roughly how long the courier takes.
The checker reads the delivery postal code; the buyer's postal code is a checkout matter.
Two rules that don't travel with you from Nova Scotia
For an Ontario delivery that means Ontario's tax and Ontario's age, even for a buyer in Nova Scotia.
HSTThe order carries 13% HST because the delivery is in Ontario — a different figure from the 14% HST charged in Nova Scotia.
Delivery chargeFree on orders of $100 and more across Toronto and the GTA; for courier addresses in the rest of Ontario the charge is shown at checkout for the recipient's postal code.
The recipient's phoneGoes in the delivery fields — the driver or courier calls the recipient, never the buyer.
The greeting cardCarries your message and your name, so the recipient knows who sent it; the packing slip shows no prices.

What the Nova Scotia orders tell us
Of the gifts paid for in Nova Scotia and delivered in Ontario since late 2022, 86% went to same-day addresses in Toronto and the GTA — 64% to Toronto, 8% to Mississauga and 4% to Brampton. The median Nova Scotia order came to $130. December is the busiest month, with 30% of the year's orders; 9% of Nova Scotia gifts go to a workplace address, against 24% for the store's senders overall.
A small record — enough to describe where the gifts go and what they cost, not enough to rank them; the grid uses the store's own leaders. Figures are shares of orders paid for in Nova Scotia and delivered in Ontario, 2022 to today; the median is the middle order, not an average.

Asked by Nova Scotia buyers
Is the cut-off in my time or Toronto's?
Toronto's. Same-day delivery in Toronto and the GTA needs the order in by 11:00 a.m. Eastern, which is 12:00 p.m. in Nova Scotia. The table above converts both cut-offs.
Who do I contact if something goes wrong?
Customer support: +1 (416) 259-2400 during 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Eastern, or the contact page whenever suits you.
Why is the tax different from what I see in Nova Scotia?
The gift is delivered in Ontario, so Ontario's 13% HST applies instead of Nova Scotia's 14% HST. Checkout shows the exact amount before payment.
Will the recipient know it's from me?
Yes — your message and your name go on the greeting card. The packing slip shows no prices.
