Two rules that don't travel with you from Alberta
Because the gift is delivered in Ontario, Ontario's rules apply — to the sales tax on the order and to who may accept a bottle at the door — whatever applies at home in Alberta.

How late can a Alberta order be placed for delivery today?
Until 11:00 a.m. Eastern, Toronto's same-day cut-off — that's 9:00 a.m. on your clock. Later orders are delivered the next day.
Is the drinking age Ontario's or Alberta's?
Ontario's, because that is where the gift is handed over: 19+ with photo ID, although Alberta's own age is 18.
Will the recipient know it's from me?
Yes — your message and your name go on the greeting card. The packing slip shows no prices.
Is delivery free?
From $100 up, yes, across Toronto and the GTA. Courier deliveries to the rest of Ontario carry the charge checkout shows for the recipient's postal code.
Will I know when it arrives?
Yes — the tracking page (the email address you ordered with and the postal code on the order) shows a same-day delivery as completed and a courier parcel's progress with its tracking number.
