Sending a gift basket to Ontario from Alberta
Ordering from Alberta works exactly like ordering from Toronto itself: we assemble the gift to order and deliver it in Ontario — same-day in Toronto and the GTA, courier beyond. The only differences are the clock, the tax and the age rule, and this page explains each.

Every deadline below is Toronto's. Same-day across Toronto and the GTA: in by 11:00 a.m. Eastern. Courier to the rest of Ontario (one to three business days): in by 2:00 p.m. Eastern. Here they are in Alberta time for September 21, 2026:

Enter the recipient's Ontario postal code
One field, the recipient's postal code: it returns whether that Ontario address is on our same-day runs or on the courier, and roughly how long the courier takes.
Enter the recipient's code here — the one on your own card statement stays with the payment details.
Two rules that don't travel with you from Alberta
Because the gift is delivered in Ontario, Ontario's rules apply — to the sales tax on the order and to who may accept a bottle at the door — whatever applies at home in Alberta.
Tax at checkout13% HST, Ontario's rate. At home in Alberta you'd see 5% GST only; here it's Ontario's.
Delivery chargeFree on orders of $100 and more across Toronto and the GTA; for courier addresses in the rest of Ontario the charge is shown at checkout for the recipient's postal code.
Contact at deliveryThe recipient's own number in the delivery fields; the courier or driver rings that one.
The greeting cardCarries your message and your name, so the recipient knows who sent it; the packing slip shows no prices.

How Alberta's orders to Ontario look
90% of Alberta's Ontario deliveries land inside our same-day area, Toronto and the GTA: 57% to Toronto, 8% to Mississauga and 4% to Oakville. Half of Alberta orders sit under the $135 median. December carries 40% of the year's orders. Workplace deliveries make up 26% of Alberta's gifts, compared with 24% across all of the store's senders.
No single gift stands out for Alberta: what Albertans choose tracks what the store's senders choose overall, so the ranking above is a fair guide. Figures are shares of orders paid for in Alberta and delivered in Ontario, 2022 to today; the median is the middle order, not an average.

Alberta to Ontario: common questions

Until 11:00 a.m. Eastern, Toronto's same-day cut-off — that's 9:00 a.m. on your clock. Later orders are delivered the next day.
Will the recipient know it's from me?
Yes — your message and your name go on the greeting card. The packing slip shows no prices.
Is delivery free?
From $100 up, yes, across Toronto and the GTA. Courier deliveries to the rest of Ontario carry the charge checkout shows for the recipient's postal code.
Will I know when it arrives?
Yes — the tracking page (the email address you ordered with and the postal code on the order) shows a same-day delivery as completed and a courier parcel's progress with its tracking number.
